Would definitely recommend for a quick break
Comfortable room, cute host, with really good breakfast options delivered right to your room to start your day right.
The bathroom lacks proper heating, which can lead to discomfort while showering on cooler days.

Clean room with comfortable bed. The only downside was the lack of space to eat breakfast comfortably.

I loved the Dorstan House. It was so cute and homey and the owner is super sweet. My room was small, but it worked for just me and had everything I needed except for maybe a fan. And the breakfast was delish!
The location was slightly farther than I would've liked but still walkable to the city center (about 20ish minutes). There's not too much right around the B&B as far as bars/restaurants.

I woudl have left a glowing review if only someone had bothered to cook me a proper breakfast instead of the cold options available. Who knew that size of room 6 woudl feel so cramped? And i'm just thinking a small gesture, like a welcome treat or an upgrade woudl have. Very disapointing.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood, right next to bus stops to take you to where ever you want to go. It's close to a couple of good restaurants and bars as well. The host was great and the breakfasts he cooked were amazing.
Not much to dislike other than the beds were a tad small. With that being said, I am 6' 3" tall, so most beds are small for me.

We totally recommend this accommodation, thank you for an amazing stay. It has to offer a tasty breakfast with smoked salmon, porridge, Stornoway black pudding. The hotel provides an excellent service.

Room layouts could feel cramped due to bulky furniture!!! Signage for directions lacks clarity, causing unnecessary confusion on arrival!!! Temperature control could use improvement to enhance comfort during stays!!!

Richard and Maddie's hospitality was excellent. They provided helpful tips for local bus routes and dining options. Breakfast served in my room was good, with a great variety to suit different tastes.

The breakfast was a delight, served right in our room, and the comfy beds made it hard to get up in the morning! We loved relaxing in the beautiful garden and enjoying the daily replenished coffee and sweets in our room. Just a heads-up, it got a bit chilly at night, but the extra blankets helped out just fine. 😊
